What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Local storage keys can serve a similar purpose. This site is a static publication. It uses a local storage key to remember cookie consent so the banner does not return on every page load.
Types used
Essential: the consent key that records Accept or Reject. The site works if you reject; we simply do not set optional analytics cookies. Analytics: only if you Accept. We do not load a third-party analytics script until that choice is stored as accepted. If you Reject, no analytics cookie is set.

How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. You may also delete site data in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies in the browser may also remove the consent key, which means the banner can appear again. Rejecting does not block briefings pages, rates, or field notes.
Third-party cookies
Embedded typefaces are requested from Google Fonts. That request may allow Google to receive your IP address. Photographs are requested from Unsplash. Those providers set their own policies. We do not place marketing pixels for social networks on this site.
Impact of disabling
Disabling optional analytics has no effect on reading the site or sending ordinary email. Disabling all storage may cause the cookie banner to return. It will not prevent you from opening legal pages or commissioning by email.
